Requirement and Procedure

Requirement

Beside specific requirements provided by employer based on the employer need and consideration which will be explained specifically in each Job Vacancy, The candidate MUST have 2 (two) main requirements in General to work in Australia as minimum requirements from DIAC (Department of Immigration and Citizenship) Australia, thus are :

1. Work Experience, all candidates who interested to work in Australia MUST have minimum 3 (three) years work experience in the same field with the position he/she apply for. The work experience MUST be proved with references letter. NO Training can replace the requirement of Work Experience. The candidate MUST NOT unemployed more than 6 (six) months when he/she apply for work to Australia
2. English Competence, all candidates who interested to work in Australia for most positions MUST pass IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with minimal score is 4,5, some positions such as Accountant and Doctor must achieve 7 for all bands on the IELTS Test.

It is recommended that applicant should takes IELTS Try Out Test before he/she take the real IELTS Test. Firstly because, it is considered quite expensive to take the real IELTS Test directly, which is US$ 150, and he/she has to take another test if he/she hasn’t achieved the requirement score to work in Australia. Secondly only one institution, who can provide IELTS Test, thus is IALF (Indonesia-Australia Language Foundation) which only established in 3 cities, Jakarta, Surabaya and Denpasar, while IELTS Try Out can be found in various respective English Courses. Beside those 2 (two) main requirements, there are some requirements which can support your application to work in Australia :

• Formal Education, there are two types of formal education which can support your work application, thus are :
  

1. Diploma from respective Indonesia Universities. Australia will recognize some universities in Indonesia which its education considered internationally standardize and qualified. Diploma from those universities will add more points for your work application to be approved. The list will supposedly publish on May 2009. Check Australia Immigration website for such information.
   
2. Diploma with the same field of your work experience. Basically Formal Education from Indonesia is not approved or accepted by Australia Government because Indonesia Education System is not internationally standardized and accredited. So although the applicant is only elementary school graduate, but he/she is 10 years experience chef, he/she is eligible to work in Australia, If the applicant is fresh graduate with 4 on his/her GPA without no work experience, he/she is NOT eligible to work in Australia. Diploma with the same field of work, is considered potential candidates because the applicant is supported with basic and formal knowledge about his/her work and not just learning by doing during his/her work.
   

• International Certificate, if you ever participate in Training or Course which is managed by International Company, the certificate is well accepted by Australian employers and can highly supported your work experience and some times if you have less time of work experience, the certificate can compensate the required work experience. International Company which its certificate can be considered acceptable such as Caterpillar, Microsoft, Daimler-Chrysler, Volvo, Nokia-Siemens, etc.

PLEASE BE INFORMED, Binamandiri does not provide any Work Training and Certification which can be accepted to work in Australia.


Procedure

Binamandiri will explain briefly about the procedure in General for applying job with 457 Sub Class Visa Scheme. Some positions might have certain procedure which will be explained briefly in each Job Offer.

What The Applicants have to do ?

• Firstly the applicants should read the vacancy available through Binamandiri and match the requirements with the candidate’s qualifications or see Positions available under Skill Shortage List.

• Write a GOOD CV, click HERE to see the guidance of good CV

• Send your CV by EMAIL together with :
  
  o Photogenic Picture (Passport Size)
  
  o Copy of Reference Letters
  
  o Copy of Training Certificates (If applicable)
  
  o Copy of Diploma (if your diploma support your skill)
  
  o Copy of IELTS Test or IELTS Try Out
  
  o Photo of your work place and your work activities (current and previous, if applicable)
  
  o If you ever work overseas you have to include copy of your previous Passport and work permit
  
  o Work Portfolio (if applicable)
  

How Long to process ?

This is the normal time of process for a vacancy listed in Binamandiri website, if there is no vacancy that match with your qualification but the job you apply is on the available position list, the process time to promoting CV takes uncertain time and no guarantee for any vacancy.

If the applicant doesn’t receive any information after maximum time to review the CV and promoting the CV, it means that the applicant doesn’t have the qualification to work in Australia based on the review by Binamandiri and The employer. We only inform to prospective candidates.

*Depends on Indonesia Government work load

**The visa is issued in Australia, and all process and approval depends entirely to DIAC work load.
